Born in 1963, Iurie Florea studied conducting at the State Conservatory “G. Musicescu “in Chisinau. He continued training at the Conservatoire “Rimsky-Korsakov” in St. Petersburg, where he benefited from the guidance of Professor A. Dmitriev.

Participation in various competitions earned him numerous awards, among which _ “Johnny Perlea” (1992) and _ “David Ohanesian” given by the Romanian Music Forum (2008). the country, Iurie Florea has collaborated with works of Timisoara and Constanta and the symphony orchestras of Iasi, Brasov, Oradea, the Sibiu, Ploiesti, Constanta, Bacau, Craiova.

The appreciation he enjoyed by many guests led to invitations overseas, at the panel of Saratov symphony orchestras, Volvograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Chernovtsy, Sofia and collaborations with the musical theater in Kaunas, Klaipeda, Minsk, Mersin, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk. Among the artistic personalities with which he had the privilege to collaborate we mention: Renato Bruson, Sergei Larin, Boris Statsenko, Sergei Murzaev, Isabelle Kabatu, Silvia Brown, Georgina Lukacs, Elena Mosuc, Marius Brenciu, Lado Ataneli, Kamen Chanev, Zvetan Mikhailov, Alina Cojocaru, Kaludi Kaludov, Janos Bandi, Pompeii Hărăşteanu, Ion Voineag, Eduard Tumagian, Ruxandra Donose.

Iurie Florea attended national festivals such as “International New Music Week” (1992-2001), lyrical Festival “the Sibiu – European Capital” (2007), edition of “Shakespeare” (Bucharest – 2008), Festival “George Enescu “(2009), lyrical Art Festival of the Sibiu (2009),” Holiday Music “(Piatra Neamt in 2010), and in 2011 he performed with the National Orchestra  Radio at Varna Summer Festival.
